I love cake like some people love ice cream. One day, while decorating cupcakes with icing and sprinkles, it dawned on me that I could use icing to ‘glue’ little yummies to my body! (I don’t always think of sex, let alone sex while cooking, but when I do, it’s usually outside of the box.) And DIY Edible Body Art was born.
Low libido gals sometimes have a hard time seeing past their roadblocks of sex into the fun of play. Being light hearted and uninhibited is good for connecting with your man and sexual variety has been found to increase satisfaction in long term marriages. That’s the purpose of edible body art, to be silly. And yet, there is sensual, too, in the nibbling and licking (maybe not the crunching and chewing so much….).
I know it’s not always comfortable doing something silly, but laughter is definitely therapeutic for low-libido.
My DIY Edible Body Art kit is really nothing fancy or exotic. Just some items I picked up in the baking aisle at Wal-Mart; icing and those doodads you put on birthday cakes.
Here’s how it works:
Gather:
1. Your favorite flavor of canned icing (or better yet, make your own from scratch)
2. Icing decorations
3. Ziplock type baggie
4. Scissors
Next, fill the ziplock bag with one or two scoops of icing. Push the icing down in the bag toward a corner.
Then, cut off the corner of the plastic bag to create a ‘pastry bag.’
I’m demonstrating this next part on my arm. However, the fun of this exercise is that you find a very special place to apply these dazzling bites. Most likely it won’t be on your arm!
Finally, take your cute little sugar design and push it into the icing. I was surprised at how well it stuck!!
You could substitute any yummy thing for that sugar cutie. Do you or hubby like chocolate better? A Hershey kiss on your chesticles might be fun. (‘Chesticle’ is a term I heard at church camp for breasts, in case you’re wondering. Oh, the things you learn at church camp as a counselor.)
And I would suggest shaving in certain areas before applying.
So, what do you think about DIY Edible Body Art?

What a great idea, Bonny. 🙂 And I learned a new word! Your blog is not only fun, it’s educational!
LOL. I wonder how long until ‘chesticle’ is in Webster’s? LOL. I’m so glad to hear from you, Lori. 🙂
Thanks,for the tip!
My ideal getaway with my sweetie is anywhere warm that is near an ocean. There is something very romantic about the sound of the waves and a little sunshine on the cheeks.
Except for the sound of the waves, I think you’re already living a dream. 🙂 Good to hear from you, friend.
So what, you walk in front of your hubby wearing noting but edible bits and say “dessert is served in the bed room”?
Yeah, that could work.
I truly got a chuckle and a blush reading this post. Loving this post!!!!! Might have to run out and buy some edible body art(cake decorating candies) for a sweet surprise for my dear hubby. Maybe some peanut butter and chocolate might work too.
