Podcasting, first known as “audioblogging,” became a thing in 2004. Even though it’s been around for 13 years, some are just beginning to grab hold of the concept. So, if you are not sure about how to listen to our podcast, Sex Chat for Christian Wives, you are not alone.
I recently received a message from a reader who wasn’t sure how to go about listening to our podcast. Here is the first easy step that will get you plugged into our “frequency on the radio dial.” Seriously, though, it’s nothing like using a radio.
Choose a podcast player
Podcast players are apps that play podcasts. There are several apps to choose from. Here is a blog post that explains them. The Beginner’s Guide to Podcasts.
After choosing a podcast player, you will need to find us by searching for “Sex Chat for Christian Wives.” After finding us, please subscribe so that you are made aware of each new episode as it is available. We publish new shows every other Tuesday. (If you have trouble figuring out how to subscribe, email me and I will try to walk you through it, pearlmail3@gmail.com.)
If podcasts are something you just don’t want to embrace, all the episodes are available on our website, forchristianwives.com. Simply go to the website, choose the episode you want to listen to and within the post you will find the play box. Push the triangle to play our conversation.
Only the most recent recording is available for download from the homepage.

Personal Update:
I mentioned in my Christmas post that my husband had lost his job mid-December. Well, God showed up in a big way!! By the end of the first week of January, Dave signed on with another company. He will be working from home again (as he did when we lived in Wilmington, NC) and his territory is about a third of the US.
This means we can live anywhere we want! Although I am a fan of beach life, South Florida has not been a good fit for us and it is very expensive. As much as I would love to move back to Wilmington, (you may remember that was our home for 17 years), it’s also a pretty expensive place to live. We are thinking about our future. Retirement is closer than it used to be. After serious prayer, cost of living research, and extrapolating a location central to most of our families, we’ve decided to move to Knoxville, TN, where the cost of living is 30% cheaper than Palm Beach County, FL.
The paperwork has been signed and our home will be listed on MLS as soon as the pictures are uploaded. We’re one step closer to Knoxville.
In Knoxville, I will be more centrally located to my podcast sisters. Who knows, we may all meet up and actually record at the same kitchen table in 2018!
During our transition, I will be taking a hiatus from my university classes but still plan to post something for you weekly regarding lifting low libido or managing a marriage with mismatched sex drives. The beauty of the virtual world is that I get to take you all with me as I move.
As always, I am so grateful for you! Thank you for keeping your marriage a top priority and following my low-libido blog and Christian sex podcast, Sex Chat for Christian Wives (rated “clean lyrics” by itunes!).
Congrats on one year, ladies! Great news on your move, Bonny….
Also a great idea to post a how-to. I’m surprised how many of my friends still don’t “do” podcasts. I love them!! They are so great for my 20-30 minute work commute; I was thinking this week when we retire this year (!!!), I will actually miss this part of work life – the commute time when I can spend time listening to podcasts, guilt free.
I was tickled to see the how-to article mentioned PocketCasts, which is the app I use on my Android phone for podcasts. After subscribing (you really MUST subscribe if you are going to keep up with all your podcast episodes), it lets me add a podcast to my “Up Next” list, which means each new episode of Sex Chat for Christian Wives (for example) automatically gets added to a list where I can see all my favorite podcasts, and then easily listen to one podcast after the other with no fiddling with my phone. It even lets me re-arrange them if I want to – so I listen to the favorites of the favorites first.
Thanks for the great info on PocketCasts, Lori! That’s exciting you and your husband will be entering a new chapter in life, retirement. I can understand, however, that there will be a bit to adjust to in the new season, like figuring out time management.
