It’s been so hard to keep a lid on this! We weren’t ready until now to tell you about our new podcast, Sex Chat for Christian Wives.
I’m gathering with three of my closest blogging friends, Chris Taylor of The Forgiven Wife, J. Parker of Hot, Holy & Humorous, Gaye Christmus of Calm.Healthy.Sexy around the virtual kitchen table to talk openly about God’s gift of marriage and sex.
We are boldly going where few 50ish-year-old women have gone before, into sex broadcasting for God. Sex Chat for Christian Wives is where we share the naked truth about godly sexual intimacy in marriage. It’s a discussion out loud not just on paper.
The idea hatched many months ago. We scratched out organizational thoughts and topics on a proverbial paper towel and from there our joint endeavor took shape.
We each bring a slightly different viewpoint to the table and that’s what makes this work. You can see evidence of our different stances and personalities in each of our posts regarding the launch of this new resource for Christian wives (check them out below).
Yes, it is as unpredictable as you might imagine. You never know what candid tidbit is going to come out of our mouths. Rest assured, that whatever is said is godly and encouraging. We are honest but we don’t get too “earthy.”
We are learning podcasting from the ground up. Fortunately, there are four of us. Four creative brains are better than one. Four creative brains also bring challenges. Like, how do we keep our Skype sessions under four hours? Once we get going, we have a hard time saying goodbye. We’ve even had to stop for potty breaks!
Sex Chat for Christian Wives is a 25 minute podcast.
Don’t worry, even though we like hanging out together on Skype, our podcast length is only 25 minutes (give or take). It’ll be just the right amount of time for your commute to work or a walk around the neighborhood.
We will be airing twice monthly. We wish we could do more, but, you know, life offsite still needs tending. Plus, we will continue to offer new content on our individual blogs.
Sex Chat for Christian Wives will launch on Valentine’s Day 2017. Put an alarm in your phone for February 14!

Neither I or my wife can listen to it at work. Are you going to print a transcript of the podcast? (Or, at least the main points)
Yes, there will be show notes that accompany each episode. These will be available on our website, sexchatforchristianwives.com.
Ok…thanks. Do we need to go to the website or can we sign up for it to come to our mailbox?
You can sign up on the website to have the latest posts emailed to you. The subscription option is at the bottom of the right hand column. If you listen to podcasts through a service, you’ll eventually be able to add us to your feed.
Congratulations on this new venture, Bonny! I’m excited for all the wives (myself included!) who will benefit from the wisdom and humor from the four of you.
Looking forward to it!
Because what wife can’t use a little help in this area of her life, right?
Thank you, Gleniece. I appreciate your words of encouragement and yes, I agree. What wife can’t use a little help in this area! I hope it measures up to your expectations. Will you pray for us to be aware of God’s leading over the podcast and his protection, too?
Yes, I will pray that God leads all four of you ladies to be brave in speaking His truth and wisdom, while addressing the many concerns of the Christian wife about this sensitive topic.
I’ll share this post around social media, too. 🙂
Thank you, sweet friend!
